| The Kernow Electron Valve Amplifier Workshop is exactly what it sounds like.
It's a little workshop, well equipped, and staffed by our technical bod. We call him Flashover. He can fix valve amplifiers.
He doesn't like spending his time talking to people, so we keep him in the back room where he can get on with his sonic
sourcery. Flash knows a thing or two about upgrading amplifiers too. He's often found re-designing amplifiers, and re-building
them to work much better than they ever have. He's very good at fitting regulated power supplies and he's always wittering
on about improving transient response. Most people never understand a word he says, but if you'd like to get him to breathe
new life into your amplifier, just contact us and we'll see what he says. Be warned that he's not a great fan of this new Chinese junk that's taking over the bottom end of the valve market, and he refuses to get involved with it unless you're going to pay him enough to change lots of components and get it up to a decent standard (which usually ends up costing upwards of £200). We did try to take a photo of the inside of his workshop but he chased us away with a hot soldering iron. |
